Arcade Timelines

1. Choose your favorite arcade decade (enter full screen mode with bottom right button!).

2. Decide which manufacturer spans you want to see. One-year spans (same start and end year) are displayed as a dot on the timeline.

3. Left panel -> Groups tabpage: make all groups, which contain the starting symbol of the manufacturer(s) in 2., visible. E.g. Atari => group 'a', Sega => group 's', ... .

4. Left panel -> Tags tabpage: make the desired tags visible (or keep them all visible).

5. Left panel -> Timeline tabpage: choose sorting and grouping options. Click any era (arcade era), span (arcade manufacturer) or event (arcade cabinet) to visualize it in the timeline or click it directly in the timeline itself.

6. Right panel: after executing 5., see arcade cabinet information and images, including clickable links.

7. Optional: define advanced filters in the filter window.

8. Show all arcade cabinets of a certain manufacturer span using span focus: SHIFT-click a span (link to wiki).

9. Play the game in MAME: find the MAME ROM set name between square brackets in the first line of the game description. Example: "Wonder Boy (set 1, 315-5177) [wboy]" has ROM set "wboy"
